Reverse Speech with David John Oates

This week I'm joined by another fellow Aussie, Reverse Speech founder and developer David John Oates. Aug 4th/5th (depending on your time zine) on Otherware on BBSRadio.com.

I really hope that you can tune in, especially if you've never heard about Reverse Speech before. It might just blow your mind.

We'll be demonstrating how this amazing tool can give us a unique look into the subconscious mind, by finding out what people are really thinking when you play their speech backwards. Yes, our brains can process speech both ways, and we can do it from the time we are born!

You'll hear incredibly clear and sometimes very funny examples of reverse speech from David's vast collection, including reversals from children and babies, Neil Armstrong's, moonwalk, George W. just before the troops invaded Iraq, one from Michael Jackson and a couple of other music reversals, Marilyn Monroe, Australian leaders John Howard and Bob Hawke and even a couple of very chilling examples from Patsy Ramsey (mother of Jon Benet) and Scott Peterson among many others.

David Oates was the first person to ever document speech reversals in human speech in 1983 and has worked extensively since then on research and development, as well as maintaining a therapeutic and consulting practice.

He has lectured around the world, and trained hundreds of students.
He has also instigated some of the first mainstream studies and presented Reverse Speech on radio and TV including CNNs, Larry King Live, Good Morning Australia, Today Tonight, A Current Affair, and Today.

His work has also been featured in The New York Times, Omni and Discover magazine.
