This week's Otherware on BBSRadio.com is going to be a great show for all those interested in the healing properties of sound, even more so if you also have an interest in(or like me, love) crystals. Joining me in the studio will be two of Australia's foremost sound healers Carmen Warrington and David Jones.
Currently on an East Coast tour of Australia, David and Carmen run the Sacred Sound Sanctuary, treating individuals or groups to a “soundbath” for peace and wellbeing. In a soundbath, you lie down and are surrounded by the ethereal and hauntingly beautiful sounds of Japanese and Tibetan singing bowls, quartz crystal singing bowls, gongs and chimes.
It can be a profoundly healing experience (and I've had a couple of soundbaths now, they're ace) and they have both witnessed miracles in these sessions.
They'll be describing their healing work and be sharing some of their amazing
experiences with us, but the best part is that all of you will get a chance
have a sonic soundbath yourself during the relaxation session at the end of the show. Why not invite a friend to listen in as well. It won't cost you a thing and it just might make your week!

Imagine yourself lying in comfortable clothes in a beautiful meditation room, relaxed and ready for your Sacred Sound session.
Out of the silence, gentle bells begin. You're feeling quite peaceful now and the day-to-day world fades as the ethereal music of singing bowls begins to wash over your body and mind. The delicate sound seems to rise out of nowhere and swirl around you, over you and through you as you become fully immersed in your “sound-bath”. Layer upon layer of music from Tibetan bowls (with their rich harmonic overtones), sweet-sounding Japanese bowls, the otherworldly hum and vibration of quartz crystal singing bowls, and the deep reverberance of Chinese gongs. The music is building in effect, not decibels.
Are you floating?
Are you dreaming?
Are you here?
Are you in heaven?
This is surely the Music of the Spheres.
Carmen Warrington is an innovator in the Australian entertainment industry, bringing together the arts of acting, music and meditation.
In 1984 she began studying the art of meditation through which she developed her unique and subtle art of transporting audiences into altered states to experience higher consciousness, peace and their own inner beauty.
She is a highly acclaimed meditation commentator and is the voice a dozen guided meditation and relaxation CDs.
Her meditation CDs have helped hundreds of thousands of people around the world to find inner peace and self-empowerment. She receives accolades from people in many countries from Poland to Vietnam to Chile to Azarbaijan.

She performs a duo healing concert called “Inner World Music” with Susie Nelson-Smith (playing her large collection of quartz crystal singing bowls.). They invite audiences to lie down, and take them into deep states of peace through the music of the bowls, dreamy songs and guided meditations.

David Jones is Australia's premier drummer/percussionist, renowned for the sensitivity and spirituality he brings to his music-making. A meditator for 20 years, he is a master of ancient healing sounds.
David is often described as being one of the most innovative and musical drummers in the world, a true virtuoso musician. His mesmerising drum solos are dramatic, humourous, surprising and powerful. To see David Jones in action is to witness a wizard weaving spells, a master at work achieving the seemingly impossible. His arms move in fluid Tai-Chi-like motions, his face is relaxed and transmitting his joy to the audience.
David was head of the Drum Department at the Sydney Conservatorium for 9 years, and has played with many great artists & bands, such as
James Morrison, Stevie Wonder, John Denver, Tommy Emmanuel, and Don McLean among others.
